Job Summary
Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for owning and scaling Digital Science’s Overleaf infrastructure on Google Cloud, building CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliability, monitoring, cost efficiency, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
List of Duties
- Own GCP infrastructure and Terraform codebase, managing VPCs, Compute Engine, Kubernetes clusters, Cloud SQL/Redis, load balancers, Cloud Armor, logging and monitoring pipelines, IAM
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar tools
- Automate routine operations using shell scripts
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems with Google Cloud Monitoring
- Participate in on‑call rotations for critical infrastructure issues
- Ensure performance and uptime of PostgreSQL and Mongo databases through proactive tuning
- Manage GCP resource usage to control costs
- Share knowledge, write documentation, and collaborate cross‑functionally
