Job Summary

Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for owning and scaling Digital Science’s Overleaf infrastructure on Google Cloud, building CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliability, monitoring, cost efficiency, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

List of Duties

  • Own GCP infrastructure and Terraform codebase, managing VPCs, Compute Engine, Kubernetes clusters, Cloud SQL/Redis, load balancers, Cloud Armor, logging and monitoring pipelines, IAM
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar tools
  • Automate routine operations using shell scripts
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems with Google Cloud Monitoring
  • Participate in on‑call rotations for critical infrastructure issues
  • Ensure performance and uptime of PostgreSQL and Mongo databases through proactive tuning
  • Manage GCP resource usage to control costs
  • Share knowledge, write documentation, and collaborate cross‑functionally
