About the Role

Accountant responsible for day-to-day financial operations in a pharmaceutical import/distribution environment, ensuring accurate records, timely reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, ledgers, and journals
• Process payments and receipts, perform bank reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier and customer accounts
• Handle import-related costing, Letters of Credit (LC), and foreign currency transactions
• Maintain inventory and cost records with the store/warehouse
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and file on time
• Support audits, budgeting, and management reporting
• Liaise with banks, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies
