The Project Director leads a multi-sector emergency response project, ensuring strategic alignment with donor agreements, managing large budgets, overseeing partner performance, and maintaining high standards of accountability and humanitarian principles.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall strategic direction for a multi-sector emergency project
- Ensure accountability for programmatic, financial, compliance, safeguarding, and risk performance
- Lead integrated planning and decision-making across technical, operations, MEAL, finance, and partner teams
- Serve as primary focal point for donor engagement and communication
- Maintain relationships with government ministries, regional authorities, UN agencies, clusters, and humanitarian partners
- Ensure robust quality assurance, monitoring, accountability, and learning systems
- Oversee procurement, logistics, security, fleet, and operational support functions
- Lead risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning
