The Project Director will provide strategic leadership and comprehensive oversight of a complex, multi‑sector emergency response project in Ethiopia, ensuring alignment with donor expectations, humanitarian principles, and World Vision’s operational standards while driving program performance and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic direction and overall project oversight for a multi‑sector emergency response program.
- Manage donor relationships, ensuring compliance with funding agreements and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate cross‑sector teams to deliver integrated services in WASH, shelter, protection, health, nutrition, education, cash assistance, agriculture, and data management.
- Drive risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning across humanitarian contexts.
- Oversee financial stewardship, budgeting, procurement, and audit readiness for large program budgets.
- Ensure quality assurance, monitoring, accountability, and learning mechanisms are robust and effective.
- Champion safeguarding, PSEA, gender equality, disability inclusion, and conflict sensitivity throughout implementation.
