The MHPSS Specialist leads the design, coordination, and quality assurance of mental health and psychosocial support interventions within an emergency multi-sector project, ensuring integration across key sectors and alignment with IASC guidelines to enhance well-being and resilience among crisis-affected populations.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of MHPSS strategies aligned with IASC guidelines
- Coordinate MHPSS across health, nutrition, WASH, and protection sectors
- Provide technical oversight for PFA, counseling, and community support
- Ensure quality delivery through monitoring, supervision, and referral pathways
- Train and mentor staff and volunteers on MHPSS approaches
- Represent the organization in technical working groups and clusters
- Develop indicators, report, and contribute to donor documentation
- Promote safeguarding, GBV risk mitigation, and inclusion of vulnerable groups
