The Food Assistance Officer will manage the planning, distribution, and monitoring of food and cash assistance in Gambella refugee camps, ensuring accurate accounting, stakeholder coordination, and compliance with humanitarian standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee planning, delivery and reporting of food and non‑food commodities/cash in the field
- Prepare and approve distribution plans to ensure efficient operations
- Maintain accurate commodity accounting and report discrepancies
- Implement LMMS‑ITS for item tracking
- Conduct inventory checks and manage returns to donors
- Monitor and document program implementation against design
- Provide supervision to field staff and coordinate recruitment
- Collaborate with project stakeholders and partner agencies
