About the Role

The Senior Environmental Specialist will lead environmental, health, and safety oversight for World Bank-supported projects in Ethiopia, ensuring compliance with ESF policies and building local capacity.

Responsibilities

Integrate environmental, health and safety due diligence into project design and implementation
Guide clients on preparing ESF-compliant project documents
Provide mentorship on impact assessments and risk management plans
Organize capacity-building trainings for national agencies
Collaborate with World Bank teams to embed E&S reforms
Ensure quality of safeguards work across the region
