The Radiologist interprets a wide range of medical images to support clinical decision-making, performs image-guided procedures, ensures radiation safety, maintains records, collaborates with the department for equipment upkeep, and educates staff.
Responsibilities
- Interpret diagnostic imaging studies and provide comprehensive reports
- Consult with clinicians on imaging protocols and findings
- Perform image-guided procedures where applicable
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Maintain organized records of imaging studies
- Collaborate on equipment calibration and quality assurance
- Educate junior staff and students on radiology principles
