About the Role

The Radiation Oncologist diagnoses cancer patients, designs and delivers precise radiation treatments, coordinates multidisciplinary care, monitors therapy outcomes, and provides education to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive examinations and diagnose patients for radiation therapy
• Develop individualized treatment plans with physicists and dosimetrists
• Prescribe and supervise external beam, brachytherapy, and stereotactic treatments
• Monitor patients and manage side effects throughout treatment
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and nurses
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with safety regulations
• Educate patients and families on treatment options and survivorship
