Procurement/Supply Officer

About the Role

Responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment, and consumables to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely availability within the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Identify reliable suppliers and vendors locally and internationally
• Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and tenders
• Negotiate favorable terms and delivery schedules
• Process purchase requisitions into purchase orders
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and Ethiopian regulations
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships
• Monitor supplier performance and address quality or delivery issues
• Manage vendor contracts and ensure adherence to terms
• Collaborate on inventory management to prevent stockouts or overstocking
• Coordinate logistics for timely delivery of goods
• Maintain accurate procurement records and reports, including cost analysis
