The Ophthalmologist will deliver comprehensive medical and surgical eye care, including examinations, diagnoses, surgeries, and patient education, within Washington Healthcare PLC’s Addis Ababa facilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic tests
- Diagnose and treat various eye conditions, including cataracts and glaucoma
- Perform ophthalmic surgeries such as cataract and glaucoma procedures
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses
- Provide emergency eye care for acute injuries
- Manage ocular manifestations of systemic diseases
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with optometrists and nurses
- Participate in departmental meetings and quality assurance programs
- Educate patients on eye health and post‑operative care
- Mentor junior staff and students
