The IT Infrastructure Manager at Washington Healthcare PLC is responsible for overseeing all technology platforms that support clinical and business operations, ensuring their availability, reliability, security, and performance. The role involves managing servers, networks, cloud services, cybersecurity, backup, disaster recovery, and leading a team of technical staff while maintaining compliance with healthcare industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and maintain hospital IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networks, cloud services, cybersecurity, backup, and disaster recovery systems
- Ensure availability, reliability, security, and performance of all technology platforms supporting clinical and business operations
- Manage Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file servers, and virtualization environments
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls such as firewalls, endpoint protection, intrusion prevention systems, and email security
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures, conduct disaster recovery testing, and ensure business continuity
- Monitor infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend capacity upgrades
- Support IT help desk with complex infrastructure incidents and coordinate scheduled maintenance
- Supervise technical staff, provide coaching, mentoring, and participate in departmental planning and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, information security standards, and support internal and external audits
