Housekeeping/Janitor/Cleaner

About the Role

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout hospital premises, ensuring infection prevention and a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and sanitizing of patient rooms, operating theaters, laboratories, restrooms and public areas
• Clean and disinfect all designated areas following hospital protocols
• Empty waste bins and dispose of waste according to segregation guidelines
• Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap and paper towels
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
• Adhere to infection control procedures and use PPE appropriately
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
