The Biomedical Engineer manages the calibration, maintenance, and repair of all hospital medical equipment, ensuring device safety and optimal performance while training staff and coordinating with manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, maintain and repair diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical medical equipment
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance and safety checks
- Respond to equipment malfunctions promptly and troubleshoot issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records of equipment and spare parts
- Train clinical staff on safe operation and basic troubleshooting of devices
