The Senior Programme Manager leads large‑scale climate‑related programmes across Ethiopia, overseeing planning, budgeting, delivery, financial compliance, stakeholder engagement, quality assurance and resource mobilisation for clean cooking, WASH, forestry and climate finance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, execution and delivery of large‑scale cookstove, rural water and forestry programmes
- Define scope, budget, objectives and success metrics for multi‑regional projects
- Manage programme budgets, forecasting and expenditure tracking
- Ensure financial compliance and procurement from Addis Ababa to regional offices
- Develop governance frameworks, reporting structures and delivery methodologies
- Establish KPIs and conduct site visits for technical quality assurance
- Lead annual planning and reporting
- Provide technical leadership and coaching to project managers
- Represent the organization at federal and regional levels
- Mobilise resources and develop funding proposals
