The Communications Assistant supports visitor operations and strategic communications at UNECA’s Visitors Centre, coordinating tours, managing logistics, engaging visitors, collecting feedback, and analyzing data to enhance the visitor experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate guided‑tour operations, including scheduling and logistics.
- Serve as primary point of contact for VIPs, diplomats, and group leaders.
- Monitor guide performance and enforce organizational standards.
- Coordinate special visits such as UN Kids programs and out‑of‑hours tours.
- Collect visitor feedback and collaborate with Marketing on improvements.
- Manage digital and manual visitor systems, including specialized equipment.
- Liaise with IT, FMS, and security teams to ensure site safety.
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and presentation for decision making.
- Update information materials such as web pages or brochures.
