The Underwriting Officer II supports underwriting activities by evaluating applications, assessing risks, reviewing policy terms, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and maintaining a balanced insurance portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate insurance applications
- Assess underwriting risks and determine coverage eligibility
- Analyze client information and recommend policy terms
- Ensure decisions comply with company policies and regulations
- Prepare quotations, schedules, and reports
- Monitor renewals, amendments, endorsements
- Coordinate with sales, claims, and customer service teams
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Identify risk exposures and recommend mitigation
- Support product implementation and process improvement
- Provide timely responses to underwriting requests
- Perform additional duties as assigned
