Communication and Advocacy Officer

About the Role

The role involves designing, managing, and implementing The Hunger Project Ethiopia’s communication strategy to raise visibility and awareness among partners, donors, media, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Develop communications materials such as project summaries, press releases and social media content
• Ensure all communications align with media standards
• Collaborate with program teams to conceptualize and implement strategies
• Respond to media inquiries and conduct outreach
• Lead strategic communication efforts with stakeholders
• Produce written communications, case studies, success stories, short videos
• Manage the organization website and social media accounts
• Provide guidance on knowledge management and best practices
• Coordinate meetings and workshops
• Draft advocacy products like briefing notes, brochures, press releases
