About the Role

The Finance Assistant supports the Finance & Accounting Officer by managing day‑to‑day financial records, processing transactions in NetSuite, handling cash and bank activities, assisting payroll, and ensuring compliance with HALO Trust policies and donor requirements within the Ethiopia program.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare payment vouchers and ensure documentation approval
  • Enter financial transactions into NetSuite accurately
  • Maintain physical and electronic finance records
  • Support month‑end processes including reconciliations
  • Monitor expenditures and report discrepancies
  • Assist with cash management and bank reconciliations
  • Help prepare payroll and statutory deductions
  • Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls
  • Coordinate with programme departments for finance procedures
