About the Role

The role involves engaging with communities in Woliso and Arsi Tiyo Woredas to identify equine welfare challenges, develop and implement interventions, train local stakeholders, monitor progress, and report outcomes to support the Brooke’s mission of improving working animal health.

Responsibilities

  • Identify community equine welfare issues and stakeholders
  • Collect data on equine health and owner knowledge to inform interventions
  • Plan and implement training for local agents and service providers
  • Facilitate monthly meetings with change agents and report progress
  • Apply M&E tools such as EWOB to assess impact
  • Prepare monthly program updates and reports
  • Collaborate with Animal Health Officers to demonstrate best practices
