About the Role

The Human Resource Officer manages and supports the hospital’s human resource administration activities, ensuring compliance with policies and Ethiopian Labour Law while maintaining employee records, recruitment processes, attendance systems, and confidential documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update employee personnel files in physical and electronic formats
  • Handle employee administrative requests per policies
  • Support recruitment, selection, hiring, onboarding processes
  • Monitor probationary employees and prepare evaluation documents
  • Manage pension registration and related documentation
  • Prepare employment certificates and other HR-related letters
  • Monitor attendance systems, schedules, leave records, and shift arrangements
  • Prepare weekly/monthly attendance reports
  • Report unauthorized absences and attendance issues to management
  • Review overtime requests before submission to Finance
  • Coordinate communication for interviews, training, and HR activities
  • Support performance evaluation processes and maintain appraisal records
  • Update employee information and generate HR reports using ERP
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information
