Agribusiness / Value Chain Expert (Project Coordinator)

About the Role

Lead technical and managerial activities to strengthen youth entrepreneurship and agronomy practices in horticulture and wheat value chains across Oromia, Ethiopia, while coordinating project implementation and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Design & implement youth entrepreneurship programs for horticulture and wheat
• Provide technical agronomy guidance (soil fertility, irrigation, pest management, post‑harvest handling)
• Map value chains and identify bottlenecks to improve efficiency and quality
• Facilitate market linkages between youth enterprises and buyers
• Deliver training on agribusiness management, financial literacy, digital tools and sustainable practices
• Advise on policies that promote youth participation in agribusiness
• Develop M&E frameworks for productivity and enterprise growth
• Promote climate‑smart agriculture and innovative financing models
• Coordinate day‑to‑day project operations, field missions, partner engagement
