The Senior Collateral Valuator assesses the value of assets offered as collateral for financing, ensuring accurate valuations that support sound lending decisions.
Responsibilities
- Collect and review collateral property documents per bank manual
- Inspect, photograph, video‑record, and gather data on collateral properties
- Estimate collateral values and produce estimation reports
- Advise on discrepancies and justify valuation variations
- Apply rule‑of‑thumb estimates for construction materials when required
- Verify quantities of major work items during under‑construction building valuations
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for supervisors
- Ensure site witness formats are signed by all parties
- Compile valuation reports following bank guidelines and regulatory requirements
