The Finance Specialist supports the Senior Finance Manager in overseeing financial controls, compliance, and audit functions for a complex $50 million budget in Ethiopia. Responsibilities include managing systems, reconciliations, tax compliance, audit support, and ensuring adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain financial systems and procedures including prepayments and reconciliations
- Coordinate HQ transactions and follow up on account clearance
- Prepare VAT schedules and ensure timely remittance
- Support local statutory audits and external audit processes
- Implement financial controls to prevent donor disallowances
- Manage balance sheet accounts and report status monthly
- Ensure compliance with Save the Children policies and national regulations
