The Area Manager serves as a senior representative of Save the Children, overseeing multiple field offices, managing program implementation, budgeting, compliance, and partnership building across Oromia and Sidama while ensuring high standards of safeguarding, risk management, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple field offices across Oromia and Sidama
- Develop and operationalize area strategic plans and annual operational plans
- Oversee budgeting, finance, and grant management for programs exceeding 5 million USD
- Ensure compliance with Save the Children policies, safeguarding, and risk management frameworks
- Build and maintain partnerships with government, NGOs, and UN agencies
- Drive continuous improvement of staff performance through coaching and mentoring
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities in humanitarian contexts
