The Area Manager serves as a senior field leader for Save the Children, overseeing multiple offices, managing a multi-million dollar portfolio, ensuring compliance and strategic execution across health, education and protection programs while fostering strong partner relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage field and project offices across Amhara, Tigray and Afar regions
- Develop and implement area strategic plans and operational objectives
- Oversee budgeting, finance and grant management for $7M+ portfolio
- Ensure compliance with Save the Children policies and humanitarian standards
- Coordinate risk, security and safeguarding protocols
- Build partnerships with government, donors and NGOs
- Drive continuous improvement in program delivery and staff performance
