Area Manager – North Area Office

About the Role

The Area Manager serves as a senior leader overseeing multiple field offices, ensuring program delivery, financial stewardship, and compliance with Save the Children’s policies while fostering partnerships and managing risk across Amhara, Tigray, and Afar.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple field offices across Amhara, Tigray, and Afar regions
• Develop and operationalise area strategic plans and annual operational plans
• Ensure compliance with Save the Children policies and donor requirements
• Oversee financial management, budgeting, and grant lifecycle
• Build and maintain partnerships with government, NGOs, and UN agencies
• Lead risk and security management for staff and assets
• Drive performance management and capacity building for staff
• Represent the organization in relevant clusters and working groups
