The Program Officer will plan, coordinate, implement, monitor, and report on OVC and SHG programs in Addis Ababa, providing technical leadership to staff and volunteers while ensuring quality service delivery and community-based support.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of OVC and SHG programs
- Develop work plans and ensure timely execution
- Coordinate activities with government offices, schools, health facilities, and community structures
- Strengthen child protection mechanisms and facilitate referrals for vulnerable children
- Oversee SHG formation, strengthening, monitoring, and graduation processes
- Supervise and mentor Community Development Workers, Caregivers, and SHG Facilitators
- Conduct field supervision visits and provide coaching
- Identify capacity-building needs and organize training sessions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual narrative reports
- Maintain program records and documentation
- Collect success stories, case studies, lessons learned, and best practices
- Support donor monitoring visits and audits
- Ensure compliance with child safeguarding policies
