The Community Social Worker will assess and address the needs of orphaned and vulnerable children, coordinate caregivers and volunteers, manage case records, and support community-based microenterprise initiatives while ensuring adherence to child protection standards.
Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize needs of OVC and households
- Coordinate caregivers, volunteers and stakeholders for project implementation
- Record daily progress reports on health, education and psychosocial status
- Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly activity plans and reports
- Build community assets to support OVC and SHG activities
- Provide opportunities for social microenterprises through SHG groups
- Classify strengths and weaknesses of SHGs and propose solutions
- Identify and record HIV-positive vulnerable women and pregnant women for services
- Ensure compliance with child safeguarding and protection standards
