About the Role

The PHC Support Officer strengthens service delivery in primary health facilities by supervising operations, collecting and reporting data, ensuring adherence to standards, and supporting program implementation in Ethiopia.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple PHCs ensuring quality care
  • Support project manager in implementing health projects
  • Conduct rapid assessments for new locations
  • Perform biweekly field visits to monitor operations
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating programs through data collection
  • Supervise clinical and registration data entry
  • Compile weekly and monthly reports for SP, RHB, WHO/UN agencies, and donors
  • Promote culturally sensitive care
  • Support IPC standards enforcement
  • Participate in clinical documentation and epidemiological data collection
  • Monitor PHC functionality including equipment and supplies
  • Ensure patient confidentiality
  • Provide training and mentoring to PHC staff
  • Represent SP at technical meetings
