About the Role

The Pharmacist ensures safe dispensing of medications, manages pharmacy operations, maintains inventory and quality standards, and supports clinical teams in delivering effective patient care within the Samaritan’s Purse program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pharmaceutical care services in line with SP and Ethiopian protocols
  • Manage pharmacy operations ensuring availability of essential medicines
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and forecasting
  • Prepare portable kits for field activities
  • Ensure proper storage, including cold chain integrity
  • Safeguard commodities against loss or theft
  • Report stock status and shortages promptly
  • Promote safe medication use and patient counseling
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to improve health outcomes
