About the Role

The MHPSS Officer will deliver counseling, psychoeducation, and medication support to beneficiaries in the Amhara region while managing data reporting, protection mainstreaming, and community engagement to meet growing mental health needs.

Responsibilities

  • Meet daily with beneficiaries to assess psychosocial needs
  • Assist in protection mainstreaming plan development
  • Provide counseling and psychoeducation
  • Administer psychotropic medications as needed
  • Collect and report MHPSS data
  • Offer guidance to patients, families, and staff
  • Ensure culturally sensitive care
  • Strengthen referral linkages for SGBV cases
  • Conduct community meetings with diverse groups
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Participate in clinical trainings
