The Medical Doctor will deliver primary healthcare services within Samaritan’s Purse mobile clinics and health centers, diagnosing and treating a range of diseases while ensuring high standards of patient care and infection control.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care to pediatric and adult patients in a mobile clinic setting
- Diagnose and treat communicable and non-communicable diseases
- Order and interpret laboratory tests
- Prescribe medications and ensure patient understanding
- Identify referrals for secondary or tertiary care
- Perform wound care and minor procedures
- Maintain infection control standards
- Immunize children and women, provide antenatal and postnatal care
- Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention
- Assist in health assessments and reporting to partner organizations
