Senior Accountant

About the Role

The Senior Accountant ensures accurate financial records and timely reporting within the M-PESA Finance function, overseeing ledger management, reconciliations, vendor payments, tax compliance, and close activities while maintaining strong controls and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
• Prepare monthly financial statements and cost center reports
• Perform reconciliations for payroll, overheads, and vendor accounts
• Validate invoices and manage accounts payable reporting
• Support cash flow forecasting and treasury activities
• Ensure VAT and withholding tax compliance
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Collaborate with auditors and internal teams for financial reporting
