Senior Accountant – Inventory

About the Role

Senior Accountant – Inventory responsible for accurate accounting, valuation, and reconciliation of all company stocks, overseeing inventory processes, spares management, and supporting month‑end financial reporting within Safaricom Ethiopia’s Financial Controlling department.

Responsibilities

• Account for all purchased stocks and ensure accurate recognition and valuation
• Manage inventory aging and reconcile stock balances with general ledger
• Conduct physical verifications and prepare variance reports
• Maintain spares catalogue in Oracle and oversee disposals
• Approve kitting transactions and review item codes for reporting
• Prepare month-end inventory schedules and cost of sales calculations
• Provide values for balance sheet and insurance purposes
• Reconcile POS to Oracle interfaces and report variances
