Lead the finance function for Safaricom Ethiopia’s Technology unit by managing capital budgeting, operating expenses, forecasting, and strategic advisory, ensuring accurate reporting and cost optimization.
Responsibilities
- Ensure annual Capex budget achievement with accurate reporting
- Drive capital allocation reviews and manage CIRB processes
- Maintain weekly actuals, commitments, and available budgets for projects
- Prepare rolling forecasts including capex phasing and cash outflows
- Report Technology Opex accurately and identify risks and opportunities
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles with detailed input from functions
- Improve Capex and Opex reporting models to deliver insights
- Identify and manage significant financial risks and optimize costs
- Provide comprehensive financial decision support, business case development, and stakeholder collaboration
