Field‑based Civil Works Construction Supervisor responsible for overseeing civil works at two hybrid solar mini‑grid sites in Southern Ethiopia, ensuring contractor compliance with design, safety, and DFI reporting standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee civil works contractors at Murche and Lelicho sites
- Conduct site inspections and maintain inspection records
- Approve contractor method statements, ITPs and work programmes
- Issue NCRs and follow up on corrective actions
- Monitor progress against schedules and coordinate recovery plans
- Certify payment certificates based on take-offs
- Coordinate handovers with electrical and mechanical teams
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian Building Code and HSES standards
- Prepare DFI‑grade daily/weekly/monthly reports
- Maintain auditable site diary and document register
- Engage local communities, contractors and government counterparts
