Responsible for executing planned mechanical maintenance activities on plant equipment, ensuring minimal downtime while adhering to safety and quality standards. The role involves troubleshooting, root cause analysis, documentation, and collaboration with planners and operators.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and execute work orders for planned maintenance
- Prioritize jobs to maximize product quality and line intensity
- Negotiate plant/process shutdowns with customers
- Conduct daily, weekly, and shutdown activities according to schedule
- Isolate plant/process per procedures and perform repairs
- Commission equipment after completion and hand over to customer
- Investigate failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Maintain documentation and provide feedback to planners
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation
- Participate in maintenance meetings and coach operators
