The Area Sales Manager leads secondary sales operations in Jimma, managing distributor performance, achieving revenue targets, and maintaining strong retailer relationships while ensuring efficient supply chain and market analysis.
Responsibilities
- Oversee secondary sales from distributors to general trade
- Communicate sales performance reports to team and distributors
- Support distributor sell‑out and primary order delivery
- Work closely with sales coordinator
- Achieve area revenue and SKU targets
- Conduct weekly/monthly sales reviews
- Manage distributor sales representatives
- Handle stock, order management, demand forecasting, credit and profitability
- Build relationships with key retailers and wholesalers
- Maintain RTM database and account development
- Analyze KPI reports and adjust actions
- Provide competitor activity inputs to RSM & trade marketing
- Ensure distributors carry all stocks and fill gaps
- Review monthly P&L for distributors and propose improvements
