The IT Service Officer delivers first-line technical support, maintains hardware and software infrastructure, troubleshoots issues, monitors system performance, and ensures compliance with IT policies to keep the organization’s technology services running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and user-related technical problems
- Monitor the performance and availability of IT systems and services
- Maintain IT equipment inventory and update system documentation
- Assist in implementing system upgrades, backups, and security measures
- Provide user support and basic IT training when required
- Perform preventive maintenance on IT equipment and systems
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures
