The Sanitary Engineer ensures building water, drainage and stormwater systems are designed, installed and tested to meet local codes and performance standards, coordinating closely with MEP teams and managing quality assurance activities.
Responsibilities
- Audit design drawings for plumbing, drainage and fire protection systems
- Verify hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing
- Suggest cost‑effective material alternatives
- Supervise installation of water, wastewater and stormwater systems
- Coordinate pipe placement with structural team
- Inspect delivered materials against specifications
- Conduct pressure, leak and disinfection tests
- Commission pumps and control panels
- Prepare as‑built drawings and O&M manuals
