The Payroll & Tax Officer manages employee salaries, ensures compliance with labor and tax regulations, handles payroll processing, prepares reports, and supports tax audits within the hotel industry.
Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Calculate salaries and deductions
- Maintain payroll records and employee compensation data
- Verify attendance, leave records, and timesheets before payroll processing
- Prepare and distribute pay slips
- Calculate and withhold employee income taxes and other statutory deductions
- Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
- Reconcile payroll accounts and tax liabilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports
- Assist in year-end reporting and tax documentation
- Maintain accurate records for internal and external audits
- Explain payroll calculations and tax-related matters to employees
