About the Role

The Social Worker will deliver direct child protection case management and community-level interventions in the Wag Hamra Zone, focusing on assessments, referrals, reunification support, and collaboration with schools and local agencies to safeguard vulnerable children.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct child protection case assessments and develop plans
  • Provide ongoing follow-up and monitoring for children at risk
  • Facilitate referrals to health, GBV, mental health, and education services
  • Support family tracing and reunification efforts for unaccompanied children
  • Offer accompaniment during referral processes, covering transport and accommodation as needed
  • Collaborate with schools to strengthen child protection desks and run awareness campaigns
  • Build capacity of Parent-Teacher Associations and support community mobilization
  • Maintain accurate case files, documentation, and prepare regular reports
