The Health and Nutrition Officer plans, implements, and monitors integrated health and nutrition programs in Amhara region woredas, providing technical support to healthcare teams, coordinating emergency response, training staff, and ensuring data-driven service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and monitor integrated health and nutrition programs in assigned woredas
- Provide technical support for primary healthcare, maternal and child health services, and acute malnutrition management
- Coordinate emergency response activities and disease surveillance
- Train and mentor community health workers and local health staff
- Manage data collection, reporting, and donor compliance
- Engage communities through SBCC and WASH/IPC initiatives
