The Laboratory Professional delivers accurate, timely diagnostic services at a medium clinic, ensuring compliance with quality standards, biosafety, and HIV testing protocols while managing laboratory operations, inventory, and staff supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests
- Conduct specimen collection, labeling, processing, and disposal
- Provide diagnostic support for communicable and non-communicable diseases including HIV and TB screening
- Ensure quality assurance through IQC, EQA/PT, CAPA
- Develop and implement SOPs and operational guidelines
- Maintain equipment functionality and preventive maintenance schedules
- Manage laboratory inventory and requisition supplies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for integrated patient care
- Supervise laboratory staff and provide technical training
- Prepare and submit timely reports to clinic management and regulatory authorities
