The WASH Officer leads technical design and implementation of climate-resilient water supply systems in Gambella, coordinating across stakeholders to deliver sustainable WASH infrastructure and services while ensuring safety, gender inclusivity, and project quality.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on climate-resilient water supply systems
- Design, supervise, and ensure quality of solar-powered water schemes
- Lead flood control and water conservation structures
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, government bodies, and communities
- Oversee project-wide WASH governance and sustainability outcomes
- Manage procurement activities such as BoQs, bids, contracts and negotiations
- Integrate WASH with food security and livelihoods initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and gender equality policies
