The Sanitation and Hygiene Officer provides frontline technical leadership in Gambella, implementing community-based WASH interventions, promoting behavior change, and ensuring climate-resilient sanitation outcomes while upholding safeguarding and gender inclusion principles.
Responsibilities
- Lead community-level sanitation and hygiene promotion under Climate Proof Water4Food Project
- Coordinate with WASH officers, government offices, and target communities for implementation
- Drive behavior change and sustainability of hygiene practices
- Strengthen partnerships with government stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding and gender equality policies
- Contribute to project-wide climate adaptation outcomes
- Manage project cycle phases and deliver results
