The Quality & Safety Officer leads the design, implementation, and continual improvement of laboratory quality systems, audits, and safety protocols to ensure ISO 15189 compliance and patient-centered care in a new Addis Ababa diagnostic center.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain laboratory QMS aligned with ISO 15189 and national standards
- Conduct internal audits, root cause analysis and manage corrective actions
- Oversee IQC/EQA programs and analyze QC data
- Maintain incident reporting system and patient safety KPIs
- Manage biosafety program and infection prevention compliance
- Coordinate regulatory inspections, accreditation readiness and licensing renewals
- Design and deliver quality and safety training
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement across laboratory staff
