About the Role

The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of a GEF-funded climate resilience project in Ethiopia, overseeing technical planning, stakeholder engagement, financial compliance, and monitoring & evaluation to deliver ecosystem-based adaptation outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project implementation and technical excellence
  • Develop work plans, budgets, and monitoring frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with GEF, UNEP, and GoE policies
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement across government, private sector, and communities
  • Provide technical inputs for capacity building, restoration, and livelihood activities
  • Oversee finances, procurement, and reporting
  • Coordinate M&E and knowledge management systems
  • Manage the Project Management Unit team
  • Prepare reports for stakeholders and steering committee
