The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of a GEF-funded climate resilience project in Ethiopia, overseeing technical planning, stakeholder engagement, financial compliance, and monitoring & evaluation to deliver ecosystem-based adaptation outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead project implementation and technical excellence
- Develop work plans, budgets, and monitoring frameworks
- Ensure compliance with GEF, UNEP, and GoE policies
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement across government, private sector, and communities
- Provide technical inputs for capacity building, restoration, and livelihood activities
- Oversee finances, procurement, and reporting
- Coordinate M&E and knowledge management systems
- Manage the Project Management Unit team
- Prepare reports for stakeholders and steering committee
