Responsible for handling all customer payments and transactions at the company's head office, ensuring accurate cash management and excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Receive payments by check, credit card, cash, vouchers or automatic debits
- Issue refunds, credits, receipts or change
- Maintain orderly checkout areas
- Tabulate bills using calculators
- Resolve customer complaints
- Answer customers’ questions
- Cash checks for customers
- Calculate payments received and reconcile with total sales
- Keep periodic transaction records and balance sheets
- Compile non-monetary reports
- Monitor checkout stations
- Ensure appropriate staffing of checkout stations
- Post charges against customer accounts
- Assist customers carrying goods after transactions
