About the Role

Responsible for handling all customer payments and transactions at the company's head office, ensuring accurate cash management and excellent service.

Responsibilities

  • Receive payments by check, credit card, cash, vouchers or automatic debits
  • Issue refunds, credits, receipts or change
  • Maintain orderly checkout areas
  • Tabulate bills using calculators
  • Resolve customer complaints
  • Answer customers’ questions
  • Cash checks for customers
  • Calculate payments received and reconcile with total sales
  • Keep periodic transaction records and balance sheets
  • Compile non-monetary reports
  • Monitor checkout stations
  • Ensure appropriate staffing of checkout stations
  • Post charges against customer accounts
  • Assist customers carrying goods after transactions
